The End is Nigh (to 2023)

Bloody hell, December already. I’ve been living and breathing the day job of late, pleased to say it’s been going really well, but it has been long hours and a bit all-consuming. As we approach the traditional crazy time, things are dropping off, so while i still have plenty to do, it’s a lot less pressured now.

I have managed to do a few photo things…a few failed experiments, but they haven’t defeated me. I hope to bring at least one of them to you really soon. It’s a tricky thing I’m trying, but i think it will be worth it if I crack the code!

Studio work these days is about finding something different. A new move, an alternate technique. It can be frustrating, and certainly lately whole shoots have been deleted, no keepers at all. This night was a good one though, managed to get some really cool effects with this set. Truth be told i was really pleased with these, i went back in the next night thinking i’d just smash out another set just as good if not better!! Yeah…cocky and completely wrong, i got nothing. Delete delete delete!!

So these ones below, I love this huge pano of the City of Melbourne. This is a 3 image stitched panorama, just look at that sky! It’s huge! Albert Park below. I didn’t have long here, maybe 10 minutes, very quickly after i got the drone up, i was very clearly worrying a pair of crows. They took to the air pretty swiftly and started to follow and then dive bomb the drone. Certainly not fair of me, so i brought it back down soon after. The Panorama is available to buy over on the We Are Luminance Store, along with a few more panos that i’ve captured.

Managed a little city outing on Friday, got my balls oot! Didn’t get arrested but did get a few odd looks as i created this one. Standing at the rivers edge throwing a ball around, trying not to slip! You’ll have seen this one below, but hell, it’s worth sharing again. I sold this one as a pair of images for a small office. Until i sell, mostly i don’t see my images printed. It’s expensive of course, and i’ve only so much wall space to use. This was Walk with the Night’s first sale. 100 cm wide, it’s an absolute belter!! Love it. I was explaining to my customer that while i get such a rush out of any sale, things like this one can be fleeting, i’ve saw it properly for about two minutes before i wrapped it up again for delivery.

Walk with the Night

Ok, so it’s 4th December, you’ll be really pushing it so this is really just for you locals out there.  I reckon this week will be the last few days to order if you wanted anything other than a calendar delivered by Christmas.  A Calendar….for Christmas!!   That’s a great idea Stuey, I’ll have some of that!!

Still got a few left if you want to help sort out my credit card payment just a little bit as we embrace for the silly season.

I’ve done one from my home city of Melbourne. Exploring the city lights at night. Lotte has put together a fabulous collection of South Australian landscapes. Both are available as A4 wall calendars. All the details are here.

We’d be delighted of course, if you would care to support our little venture.

Ok then peoples…act fast if you would like to purchase, and have a wonderful Christmas time/Holiday Season/whatever you call it, when it comes.

Be good.
